Which one are you using in your mixes?.

- Kick: ???
- Snare: ???
- Toms: ???
- Hat/OHs: ???
- Guitars: ???
- Bass: ???
- Vocals: ???

Also do you use different EQs for different instruments within the same mix?
If so, what does this do for the mix differently if just 1 particular EQ is used for everything. Makes the mix more colorful and feel more open maybe as opposed to a bit sterile or one dimensional?
Or does it not matter because it all comes down to the user and his use of the EQ?

I use almost exclusively the Waves API, and it's on almost everything. Master EQ I use Sonalksys, and that's about it for eq's although I do like the REQ on kick drums, it's quite precise, and can really cleanly cut the fat off a kick and keep it punchy.

Waves API
URS Console Strip Pro

+1 for the VibeEQ here as well. This thing is a giant killer. It's as good as any colored EQ I have tried Waves vintage selections included. I absolutely love it on guitars and vocals.

UAD Neve 1073, Pultec, and Cambridge. To you guys that are using the cubase EQ, what are you using it for? I hate the way it sounds. I might use it for a high pass occasionally, to save CPU power.

i doubt that everone has bought the waves ssl...
tut tut
anyway
Im using metric halo channelstrip,
and sonnox eq.
those two are the best plugins i own

good question i would also like to know this....
