Anyway, might wanna check out M-Audio monitors.

I used to have Samson Resolv 65a monitors and you can probably get them
very cheap now. They were alright but are by far no match for
the Adam A7's I have now.
Still I feel I could recommend them. Once you get to know its faults you can get
some decent mixes out of them.

ive heard nothing but negativity about those bx5a's which are about 300 for two i think.
ive heard great stuff about those krk rokits though and they're 300 for two as well

Well, since you were asking about the ESIs: Can't say anything about the 08s but the 05 eXperience are ok, especially for the prize. They don't really have much low end though.

I have the cheapest Monitors on the market in their size, the Fame 5060 and I find them decent actually. The previous model 1060 scored pretty good in professional audio magazine.
You could try the 5080s wich are around 250.

IMO, the monitors are the last thing you should save money
