Ok, first off, METAL is an attitude, music, image, all this combined. Emo is not compatible with metal, simply because it's a wuss assed attitude, and image thing going on, plus music seems to be closer to "punk" (i said closer, not actually punk)...

Man, seriously this thing is a challenge, can anybody actually explain to him how the band is not metal, and why? Without citing quality, as there are shitty metal bands, doesn't mean they're not metal, just shitty... Indeed, what kind of reception is this? And how can the God-like riffs of Simple Plan be considered anything OTHER than metal? Seriously now, calling Simple Plan 'emo' makes about as much sense as Ozzy on a full load of crank, or Britney Spears.
