I can tell you right now, there is no way that is going to happen. Mike hates Morningrise and earlier, he definitely wouldn't re-record this old demo...it's pointless for a band like Opeth to spend time on this.

Mikael doesn't hate Morningrise at all !!! from the DVD, he just said he can't stand some parts of it..guess he was talking of some parts of Night and silent water...but he doesn't hate to bid you farewell or advent or it wouldn't be or wouldn't have been fair to play them that much !!

I still haven't figured out why Mike and Peter both list The Night and Silent Water as their least favorite song....Sure its their opinion on their own music, but I think the song has alot if redeeming qualities...I'll take it over like half of the songs on Orchid...

Morningrise is a great album, even if it doesn't compare too favorably to their newer ones. A remaster or something should be in order for the album, because I really like those songs, but the production is just...mehhh

I don't think I'd like it if they cleaned Eternal Soul Torture up, for some reason I happen to enjoy it as it is, with the cruddy production and all... It has so much energy I think, to polish it up I think it would lose that and not be as interesting as it is now, Opeth has produced much more interesting material and unfortunately that song would lose it's novelty, it would become simply a subpar Opeth song... and I don't think I would really want that.

I think its due to the very personal Lyrical themes, I think Mike wrote it just to get his feelings (about his dead grandad?) of his chest. Also the song has a really cool build up part that just goes nowhere - Big Anti Climax - that part alwas seemed pointless to me

the song reminds mike of his grandfather who passed away during the recording of morningrise.

Not sure why peter doesnt like it, its one of my favourite tracks on there
