Enya, that's right that i can say that i am a fan of estonia. And i wanted to create a website to introduce estonians to turkish people because people here are mostly ignorant about that country and also estonians have mostly have no any idea about we turks eigher. I also tried to put a section in english language but it was really hard for me to make alive both english and turkish. it was because of the lackness of time.

I have been there only once before, for 20 days. And for 2nd time, i had trouble to get visa from that country. It seems like i will not able to visit there for some years because once my visa application has been rejected but i still like there.

This saturday, i will be in switzerland and who knows i will hitchhike until estonia and enter that country illegally :p (just kidding)

that is wonderful thing of you to do! :saint: I happen to be Estonian :)

I have uploaded one more song of them (Bir - One).

The lyric of that song has been composed by a Bektashi poet, who was from a very poor villiage and who got blind while he was a child.

The name of that fellow, Asik Veysel who were sometimes querying religion or even got.
A small correction: Bir's lyrics were not written by Aşık Veysel but by Mezarkabul themselves. Lyrics of "Bu Alemi Gören Sensin" (in album "Bir") and "Gündüz Gece" (in "Anatolia") belong to Aşık Veysel, though.

Wow, this thing went waaaaaayyyyyyy off topic. We were talking about Lordi, last time i checked >.>

Get used to the feeling. This is how it usually works on most UM forums I know.

Somebody need to keep you all in order! *whips you all back in line*

Although theoritcly you are right, I find that the matter of spontanios discussion, which is no less important, appears in it's best in such off topic slides.
Besides, is there anything about "Lordi&Eurovision" to say in addition? I think everybody made their main points on this topic.
Come on, don't be like that :loco:

There is always something else to add about this. But i think the point was taken. Some of us like Lordi, some of us don't.
We agree to disagree blah blah blah.
Going off topic can be nice but also very confusing. I don't really like to go off topic on forums, it's just get members confused as to what the topic is all about, at least for me is confusing.

The off-topic confusion fenomenon can be dealt with by simply reading out a few posts at the start of the thread... works for me anyway. Besides, stricktly ON-topic threads tend to die much quicker.

Well, I guess it's kinda too late for that, but I still give tribute to the roots :)

But I can tell you that when you get older and still isten to metal, in some parts of your life you will be confronted with the negative image that people have of metalmusic.

Like in my professional life, collegues in the office that found out I listen to metal would comment on it, like: you seemed a normal person....
Or others would tell my mom in the street: why does your daughter listen to metal still? She's an educated person, she should be grown up by now.

In other words: "grown ups"/ "smart people"don't listen to metal. HA

Hey! I'm what we call in Germoney an "Alter Sack" ("old sack", as I've seen now in my dictionary ...). And I don't give a fuck about "the people". In Germoney, when you didn't agree with the "normal" way of life in the 70s, people tell you it has been a mistake that "they" had forgotten you. They meant the Nazi scum and their "invention", and you know what it brought into the world. You had to shit on what they say, what they think, in order to survive as the individual you are. But what about the "liberal" Netherlands? Are you more "German" now as we are? Seems like the machine of social sanctions works hard. Don't give up freedom to leave your society and lives for mainstream life terror. :yuk:

I gotta say, that Lejla song that came in 2nd place, by Hari Mata Hari, pisses all over Lordi's song. It even has some elements in it that remind me of Orphaned Land. Too bad it didn't win, but props to Lordi and Finland I guess. Then again, I dont know jack about the eurovision contest beyond the basics of how it all goes - being american and all.

That's right, Hari Mata Hari was very fine. It was not empty and while listening music, it was able to fell the Balkan spirint. Also Andre from Armenia was also fine, i think i wasn't the first who thought such in Turkey that we gave him 2nd highest point to him.
