everclear question

since some of us on this board are devoted inhabitants of drinking villages with a fishing problem, I was wondering something.

Here in Washington State, we can't get Everclear (the real stuff). So what proof is the real thing that's sold in liquor stores elsewhere? I've heard 197 proof, but I'm double checking. Here it's only 151 (same as Bacardi, and Bacardi goes better with coke).

also, if it's much more potent, anyone willing to ship me some if I pay for all the shipping/handling and the bottle for one fifth so I can try the real stuff?

Dude, just take a road trip down to Oregon. A couple of friends of mine go down there every so often to stock up. Not me though....I won't touch that fucking shit.

Damn. I can drink vodka straight pretty effortlessly, but I do not think I'd want to mess with this Everclear shit. I'd rather sip my wine or whiskey thanks, or my vodka on the rocks.

This is the nice part about being completely removed from the mainstream, I never even thought of the band. Instead I only recalled hanging out with two scary redneck types heavily into Kiss and Black Sabbath who had an entire wall lined with empty Evaclear bottles. That said, I don't do drinks with Evaclear. In my youth I would drink 151 and cokes constantly, then i switched to straight Irish and Scotch whiskies. But those are for flavor. Evaclear is for getting retarded.



That said, Darknoise, if you seriously want to try the stuff, I will send you some. Just PM with relevant information, and I'll find it, get it, and we'll work out the trade.



Edit: but fucking promise me you will NOT try to drink the whole bottle or any such. We want to keep you around.

seriously, I have a bottle of 190 proof everclear sitting around here for novelty's sake, but I'd never drink that stuff.
