Evergrey - Awesome band

I have just started listening to Swedish band Evergrey. They recently cleaned up the Perpetual Motion Awards.

They are sort of Power Metal come Prog Metal. Great musicanship and great songs. Worth checking out! Their new album "In Search Of Truth" is a killer.

I've only heard "In Search of Truth" - bought it because I heard they were good - and was extremely disappointed. Nothing special whatsoever, in fact they reminded me of Symphony X, who I am *not* a fan of, even though I bought two of their CDs!

Doesn't surprise me that you don't like them Spiff, if you don't like SyX. They are very similar to SyX

I like a couple of Symphony X songs - mainly the first couple on "Divine Wings". I didn't know they'd be like them, though... to be honest, I didn't know what to expect, but I had heard good things and decided to pick it up. Maybe it'll be a grower I hope so.

Evergrey are an awesome band!

The new album is great....but the previous one is even better. Its called Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy and its brilliant!!!!!!!!! You must all hear it now!
