Joe Barresi is primarily a rock producer and he probably records stripped down kits most of the time.

Bingo!

We recorded 6 kits that Joe has used in the past and he seldom records a kit bigger than these.

We recorded 3 kits at Grandmaster and 3 kits at Sound City... We also recorded 6 additional kicks and 6 additional snares with one of the kits (Kit 5) you can of course take the cymbals from any SDX and mix and match between SDX's in Superior. You can create separate OH's for your XDrums to pan them independently.

This video for example uses an XDrum for the 3rd crash...



We've actually sold through our run of the SDX's and will not be manufacturing another run... so you should buy these from any retailers who still have them while they're still available.

Yep. And actually this works pretty well if you stick to the same studio space for what you grab.
