Considering the OP specially mentioned medieval Europe, I'd go with Deathspell Omega's Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice. The conflation of scripture and Gregorian chant with Satanism would get the message across to the audience quite clearly, especially if I could bring the book and liner notes.

Naked city and pretty much anything John Zorn is completely deranged, but I never felt that they had any sinister undertones really until you just posted this. WOW the first half of this album is much different than his previous records.
