Suppose you’re sent back in time to medieval Europe with nothing but a stereo and a single CD. With just that one album (and your own acting skills), you have to inspire terror and awe in the locals—convince them you can commune with dark powers, summon demons, whatever. What CD do you bring?

With the combined usage of soul chants and satanic themes, Zeal and Ardour would be my choice. The best way to incite fear through mantraic chants and chain rattling.

Considering the OP specially mentioned medieval Europe, I'd go with Deathspell Omega's Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice. The conflation of scripture and Gregorian chant with Satanism would get the message across to the audience quite clearly, especially if I could bring the book and liner notes.
