Explosions in the Sky

Recent convert. Saw them live last week and it was amazing.

My only problem is when I hear their music, my brain starts creating lead guitar lines over the top of their soundscapes and I think "this song could use something extra to really push it to a climax".

Some intense lead guitar would help if used not to over the top. Their new record is jaw dropping.

They're pretty good. But the whole post-rock genre is becoming so satured with nearly identical sounding bands that I have trouble getting hugely excited about any of them anymore.

They're playing here in Berlin soon, I'll definetly be there!
My best friend loves 'em, unfortunately there are almost no good concerts in Shanghai, so I really doubt they'll ever be there.

I'm seeing them later this month with one of my friends (he's infatuated with them). I personally think they're ok, but I don't really go out of my way to listen to it

This.

I can never be bothered to wade through the almighty piles of crap to find one gem. It's too easy to make post-rock it seems, because everyone with a guitar thinks they can do it... obviously it's not so easy to do it well.

What would you guys say is their best album...I really like The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place, but I'd like to hear some other opinions.
