Editors new album An End Has A Start is much better than I expected, some cracking tracks on there. The Mary Onettes self titled is also excellent.

Okkervil River - The Stage Names

Their a local band, living in the same city I live in. Big fan of them and their side project Shearwater, they remind me a lot of Bright Eyes.

The new The Rakes album 'Ten New Messages' and the new Arcade Fire album 'Neon Bible' are both excellent.
Based on first impressions I'm fairly dissapointed with the new Futureheads and Interpol albums, but they may grow on me yet.

I refuse to listen to the new interpol record till its out. How does it sound.

In my opinion I have to say it's disappointing. The melodies aren't as inspired as Antics, it all sounds rather dull. There are a few excellent tracks, but I was expecting more than that.
Like I said, it may be a grower, so I'll give it a few more listens before I make a concrete judgement.

ps - My view on the new Futureheads album has been turned around, it gets a solid 7.8/10

Antics is very hard to beat though.

From what I have heard I am amazed. I mean mammoth is the best of both albums.
