Extracting vocals from mix

I might be asking the impossible, but is there anyway I can extract the vocals from the mix? I sent the tracks to my old singer to record vocals in another state and when the guy exported the song the sound quality went down alot. This is just incase I cant get the vocal tracks from the guy who recorded it for him.

Without the different stems you can't successfully extract them, you could test lowering the mid (M/S) channel - but that would then fuck up the mix pretty badly.

He said he was going to try and get ahold of him to do that. Thats what I'm hoping for soon.
