I second this. Electric Wizard's guitars hit you straight in the gut. Great example of this is the beginning to "Return Trip" off of Come, My Fanatics... Absolutely subterranean.

I think....I think you should look for Cathedral. All of the stuff I've listened to has had an awesome groove and been unbelieveably full of delicious bassy sound.

Also, Nevermore. As I'm listening to This Godless Endeavor right now, it's pretty heavy...

'k, so neither are heavy in an extreme metal way, but they still are heavy in a heavy...kind of way.
