EZ Mix 2

I write and record my music as a hobby so this works great for me. and it really sounds good IMO. I wish there were more options as far as adjusting presets but I guess the idea with ezmix is simplicity. it's a fun toy for someone like me who doesn't have the time (too lazy) to learn how to properly mix music. if I were serious about making music I would hire a pro.

Sounds great. The source material is really good though.

Ola could play through a 15 watt crate amp covered in goat poop and it would sound rocking.

I need product demo's made by people that suck. That way I will know how the product will work out for me.

Well, I did make a +40 minute long one take review video of the EzMix 1. (I just noticed when you search for ezmix, it's the fourth result in youtube)

My Chimaira cover with EZmix2 démo. Used Esp with EMG81, Bass LTD with EMG, Metal Machine toontrack, and i used the track démo métal on toontrack network (Electric_Selections(EZmix2_Version).cpr) on Cubase 5.

(Sorry, I'm French and my English speak is bad)

I will have to give that video a look when I have some free time Ahjteam.

That sounds pretty good Anthony. You English isn't so bad either.

I was not expecting this too sound that good! That's very suprising to see. Might have to pick this up as I am always recording quick ideas to bring to band practice.

Just when I thought that it can't get any worst than the abuse of the SD2/SSD+Axe-Fx/POD X3 combination used by most of the djent/deathcore bands, something new comes along that doesn't even require a fully functioning brain to operate. Great! This will spawn a whole new generation of retarded djentcore bands that sound musically and sonically identical.

I'm not trying to bash on Toontrack, this seems like a good tool for songwriting n making quick demos and I'll probably buy it for that reason. But It's tools like these that encourage young musicians and engineers to get addicted to PRESETS and NOT USING THEIR BRAINS.

EZmix = 3 Faders, EZmix 2 = 2 Knobs, EZmix 3 = 1 "MOAR" Button.

Sorry for ranting, I gots the flu and I'm heavily medicated :loco:

I would agree to an extent with the abuse of amp sims and drum software but it's not like you buy an axe fx and instantly sound like a professional. Same with drum software. If you don't know what you are doing, the mix is still going to sound like unbalanced half-assed poop.

A tool like this helps take the technicalities out of mixing and lets the CREATIVITY become the new challenge. Ive spent years just practicing and being able to do decent mixes. Id have loved for something like this earlier, so my creativity would be my sticking point, and not the technical stuff.

On a side note, I tried out the demo, and it's nothing earth shattering.

the guitar amp simulation from it in ola's video actually sounds pretty cool!
I wonder if they are original models, or if they are modeling specific amps

my take on heavy fuzz rock (fuzz solo), superior 2.3 drums, ezmixII, recabinet/podfarm on guitar solo, and a stella artois on the beerz : http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11444685

using my trusty gibson sg standard. also my thunderbird bass. My goal was a song in 2 hours but I did this song in 2.5 hours (wrote/recorded/mixed). I figure I could get it down to two hours, that is the goal for the next song, cheers

Hi guys
Made a video about how to use EZmix 2 in metal style (Step By Step Tutorial)
Check it out, please leave a comment, I'm interested in your opinion
