You know what, I am actually gonna buy that strictly for pre prod and writing down ideas so I don't have to worry about wiring vsts and shit all around the place and focus on writing the music itself.

Hey guys, I'm Aria Mirshekari from AMYGDALA and this is a playthrough video on one of the songs from our upcoming debut album "Reflections".
We have recorded the guitars using EZMix 2 Metal Guitar Gods pack. I hope it will give you an idea on the uncountable great monstrous sounds you can get from EZMix.

Also, these are the links to our band's pages. If you like what you hear, like and follow and share and comment.

Most of dudes riffs are pretty cool, its the Lyon, ancient strings and the Ez products doing him a disservice, well that and the video editing haha

For the shameless plug only four posts in he wouldn't actually deserve to be cut any slack...

I do actually like the music though. Still it's beyond me how he can call this "uncountable great monstrous sounds"... I mean I get that resources might be limited for him (and they are for most of us in some way or the other) but if he has a working internet connection (and it appears so) and therefore access to most international music he should know that the mix isn't even close to what he described it to be. If anything this is an anti-ad for EZmix.

Nah, it ain't the Lyon guitar. Misha is an endorser, so it's gotta be good. :Smokedev:

First, thank you guys for taking the time to watch that video and post your feedbacks. Seriously, thanks a lot.
Now, as you mentioned, the strings are actually old. And I don't like this guitar much anyway, but buying a guitar in Iran is like a gamble, since most of the products are fake! :D
About the sounds, I thought the sounds were good. But I'm an amateur mixer who to be honest, doesn't know shit about mixing and is just thrusting his way to figure it out. I would like to ask you to tell me what you think is wrong with the sounds, and if you have any suggestions about them, I would appreciate your guys' help. Thanks again.

It's hard to pinpoint any specific problem as all things in a mix affect each other and together turn out to be the end result. I'd suggest you just hang around on this forum and keep improving as you learn new things over time. If you are just starting out I highly recommend you buy Ermin's Mixing guide. It'll get you on the right track from the beginning.

name one progressive metal album that sounds fat. the music style is not supposed to sound fat.
One more question: are you able to play a song of yours from memory, without playing any notes differently?

I definitely will hang around since I'm not planning on releasing a low-quality album. :)
The problem is I can't buy anything, cause in Iran there's no such thing as a Visa or Master card or even a paypal account, but I will look for it to see if I can find anything. Thanks again.

Yeah, I can. Not at first, but since I'm kinda a nerd when it comes to practicing, and I'm usually playing even when I'm watching a movie, after a while the notes stick to my memory. :)
Although, we don't write our songs from jam sessions. We write them on GP5 and then practice and record them, so that kinda helps too. Because we practice the song a billion times before recording them.

Sucks about no available payment options. But how did you get your hands on EZmix and Superior then? ;-)

This should get you started: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/...ic-mixing-series-0-introduction-glossary.html

Thanks! :D
Well, I know that it makes me an asshole... But when you wanna do something in Iran, you either have to give up on it, or you have to do somethings that are counted immoral and illegal in other parts of the world! I'm gonna be totally honest with you... Piracy, my friend! That's how I got EZMix and Superior Drummer... :(
