January 1994, picked up a used copy of The Spectral Sorrows by a band I'd never heard of on a whim. I was an Edge of Sanity addict from the first listen

3.what do you do while listening to Swanö-music?

4.Do you play any instrument, or maybe you're in a band or something?
I was in some bands in the mid to late '90s, still play piano/keys and a little guitar and sing (I also played trombone, baritone, and tuba in highschool, does that count?)

5.what is your one favourite band?
if Edge of Sanity had lasted I think it would be that. at this particular moment it's a tie between Nightingale and Katatonia, but ask me another time and I'll probably have a different answer

Around 99 through Opeth is how I heard about Dan after looking at his name from older albums, then in 2000 Bloodbath released Breeding Death! From there I got into Edge of Sanity as well as many other projects!

Growl, headbang, sing, sleep!

4.Do you play any instrument, or maybe you're in a band or something?
I suck at guitar, but I think I can growl well, and I am not in a band!

got to know opeth and was interested in Mikael's side projects, found out about bloodbath and the rest is history

Surf UM forums,eat,wash dishes and sleep...untill I'm awaken by the scream at the end of a Nightingale CD.

I play the piano for 16 years and a little classic guitar...I shred...no band, maybe later in my life

I would say Pink Floyd

Heard about Nightingale from their ProgPowerUSA performance. Loved the band, bought all their records, then discovered the awesome EoS, Unicorn... :)

Sing/Air drum along, or just about anything really since I take those cds everywhere.

4.Do you play any instrument, or maybe you're in a band or something?
I play casually piano, bass guitar, and clarinet. Seriously I play guitars in my own band, Autumnstone. Debut record should be out end of 2006.

Hard question! At the moment I would say Nightingale, or Riverside.

Most every political body in the world today, the injustice and destruction of our environment. Unchecked and unwarranted technological development/dependence. Those who use faith as a weapon.

I hate TV! Don't ever watch it. Currently I'm listening to Holy Blood, but according to audioscrobbler, my most played bands are Nightingale, Riverside, Mostly Autumn, Marillion, Unicorn, Rush, Opeth, dredg. I tend to listen to a CD at a time and not really rotate a short list so much. So really my playlist is about 9800 songs.

1992 with "Unorthodox". But more important was the first NG album in 1995 and the day I got "Emotional Wasteland" from Unicorn.

Just listening, sometimes browsing through the internet or chatting.

Well, it was a combination of two things really.. Someone had recommended Crimson to me, and I really enjoyed it. For awhile, I didn't even know Dan was in EoS.. I saw his name on an Opeth album and decided to investigate.

Usually sing along, or just lay down with my eyes closed and listen.

Guitar.. I sing and growl a bit. No band at teh moment.

Willem-Jan Storm 24, from The Netherlands

2.how and when did you get into Swanö?
Via various things at once basically. In 1997 I had a cd from Millencolin, which Dan produced and which I still like. I got a tape of The Spectral sorrows from the guy that use to teach me how to play the guitar. From there on I started to find out what other projects guys are doing from bands that I already like. This is still my number 1 way of finding new music that I like today.

3.what do you do while listening to Swanö-music?
All kinds of things, just listening. Making paintings, studying, driving, whatever.

I'm playing the guitar.

A friend of mine have been working with Dan for about 2 years at Musikbörsen so he mentioned Dan and played his music for me the very first time for about 3 years ago or something like that. I WAS STUCK! :)

I have been singing for a while like 3 years or something, and me and my friend (mentioned above) have done some songs together....and right now we have some more songs on our way. I also learn to play the guitar, but it takes time to learn all by yourself.
