Fans of Katatonia check out Green Carnation (Link Inside)

Awesome riffs. light of day, day of darkness is awesome.

Didn't particularly care for the other song.

The damn MP3 link doesnt seem to work but the band certainly looks interesting. It says in the biography that the guy who writes it all was in emperor & the new album consists of just a single hour long track which was recorded useing 150 tracks (WTF!), over 600 samples and a couple a choirs!

I saw this album in my local indie record shop the other day so I think I will check it out.

On a bit of an impulse I got the GC album yesterday (well, someone owed me a Christmas present!).

I am only now on my second listen. Its sounds pretty good. I love the intro and some of the riffs. Its quite melodic and layed back but I like that. The singer has something very likeable about his voice but it is a bit weak and that femal part in the middle is just rediculous! I agree that the 60 minutes seems to fly by.

The Green Carnation c.d (the new one) was in my local c.d store, and I'd read the review and article in Terrorizor, but I left it....

I guess I wasn't in the mood, but maybe next time I'll think a bit harder.

Oh yeah, the store just got a whole heap of fresh, new, Burzum imports in, so my money was pretty much already taken. :)
