***FARMAKON SIGN TO ELITIST***

We're delighted to be able to announce the signing of Finnish
melodic death metal wizards Farmakon to a four-album deal.

The band have been together barely a year, but show a depth
and maturity of song writing that proves that they're more than
capable of being able to compete with the very best out there.
They specialise in a complex yet accessible brand of death metal,
interspersed with acoustic passages and clean vocals. Listen to a
demo of the track "My Sanctuary" here:
http://www.elitistrecords.co.uk/farmakon.mp3 .

Farmakon start recording their as-yet untitled debut album in the
New Year. We're in talks with a very big name that may be in line
to handle the production duties. We'll let you know more about
that when we can.

This is an excellent band with genuine natural potential. Great
things will come from them. Just wait and see!

***LUNARIS "...The Infinite" OUT NOW***

Progressive death / black metal gurus Lunaris have now
unleashed their debut album "...The Infinite", and it's quickly
establishing them as amongst the best in their field. The reviews
so far have been exceptional, and they've been featured in
magazines such as Kerrang and Metal Hammer (next issue).
Check out their website for all the latest happenings at
http://www.lunarisweb.com .

***FOREST STREAM - ALBUM OUT SOON***

We're now awaiting the finished master from these Russian gods
of blackened, symphonic doom. The album, entitled "Tears Of
Mortal Solitude", promises to be a suicidal classic, and cannot be
missed. If all goes to plan we should have the album out in very
early 2003. In the meantime, the band have updated their
website. Check it out at http://foreststream.ultimatemetal.com .

***WITHOUT FACE RELOCATE TO THE UK***

Hungarian progressive metal masters Without Face have made
the bold decision to up-sticks from their native Veszprem, and will
move to London in early November. The band intends to play
some shows in France and Belgium along the way, and will also
be touring in the UK in December. More news on that when we
have it. In the meantime, check out the following dates that the
band have lined up here:

***RAKOTH STILL RECORDING***

Russian avant-garde experimentalists Rakoth are presently in the
studio putting the finishing touches to their new album "Tiny
Deaths". As I mentioned before, expect the unexpected with this
band! We've heard what's been recorded so far, and it's unusual
to say the least. Those expecting "Planeshift part 2" will be
disappointed, but we have to say that the new material is still
Rakoth through and through. All the elements are still there, it's
just... um.different! We'll be posting a track online as soon as we
are able.

***EPHEL DUATH RECORDING NOW***

The bass and the drums have already been recorded, and the
rest is being done during the month of November. The album
"The Painter's Palette" will showcase a band unlike any other.
After hearing the demos it fair to say that Ephel Duath are
approaching the metal genre in a way like no other. I thought I
had heard it all, but now Ephel Duath are about to push those
boundaries that little bit further. I, for one, can't wait for the
finished album! http://www.ephleduath.net .

***WOLVERINE UPDATE***

The band has been playing a few shows in their native Sweden
with countrymen Pain Of Salvation. The band has booked the
studio for January and we look forward to seeing what they come
up with. I think it's fair to say that Wolverine are a world class
band, and you can be sure that anything they touch is likely to
turn to gold. http://www.wolverine-overdose.com .

***WEBSITE UPDATE***

We've now uploaded an HTML version of the site for all you Flash
haters out there! As usual, the address is
http://www.elitistrecords.co.uk .

Thanks for reading.

I absolutely loved My Sanctuary in Solitude when I listened to it the first time you put it up here, it's stuck in my head even as I write this.

Let us know when you put out a CD, please!

Wow, this is great news. It's nice to see that you guys finally got signed. I love all of the mp3s from the mp3.com site, and I'll definitely keep an eye out for the album. I'm very impressed with Elitist so far. Keep it up, Lee. :)

You know, when I first heard the name "Farmakon" I was like "what the fuck kind of ridiculous name is that?? who thinks of a farm when they think of metal?" But now I think the name is actually really cool cuz it's very distinctive and memorable. Great name, great tunes, I can't wait till the CD is out and you guys do a world tour (with Opeth maybe? we can only hope:) )

I found the name rather interesting myself when I first heard it, but I'm always willing to check out new stuff, and once I heard it, the music spoke for itself. It fucking rules. A world tour with Opeth would be very very great.
