Pariah - The Kindred

Alright! Brandon I want now your full opinion, I consider Pariah proto-thrash and I consider "Blaze Of Obscurity" thrashier than "The Kindred". Still will you put them along with thrash bands or consider them still NWOBHM?

Slayer is one of the best bands ever.

That album came out a few years after the NWOBHM scene had died down. It's undeniably heavier and thrashier than almost anything that came out of England from 1980-1984.

That being said, it wasn't as thrashy as say exodus or early metallica, but The Kindred was certainly a thrash album. Blaze of Obscurity was quite a bit thrashier, but I don't think the songs were quite as good (maybe not, as it's been a while since I last listened to either disc).

I still love the track "Hanging on the end of a Rope". Very thrash and yet very catchy.

Actually the band Death is from the 80's technically since their debut Scream Bloody Gore came out in 1987. Leprosy came out in 1988. But like someone else pointed out they are a Death Metal band and not Thrash.

I feel like an idiot leaving out both that one and Powermad's "Absolute Power." Both were two of the best thrash albums of the era.

Since the thread DID state favorite album, though as opposed to albums, I will say:

Metal Church - "Blessing in Disguise"

If that is not "thrash enough" then I will choose.....

Powermad - "Absolute Power"

Hell yeah! :headbang: But please listen (if you can) to 'Puppet Regime' on BOO, that songs rocks me all the way to thrash heaven.
