Favorite 25 Metal Bands?

So it's apparently the Swedes and myself with the bathory worship in these parts? I have seriously been listening to Quorthon for over half my life, we're talking eighteen plus years. only Iron Maiden, Danzig (in the form of Misfits/Samhain), Metallica... and oddly Quiet Riot have been with me longer. Don't judge.

Doomsniffer/Krill Reese's: Solace is rad. Like oldschool Soundgarden/Fu Manchu/Sabbath with fun twists.

Really? I've always thought they were (and were generally considered to be) extremely mediocre. Then again, it's been a while. Post some tracks that will change my mind.

You could count Bruce Dickinson as a singular entity for Chemical Wedding alone. I think I was lumping him in with Iron Maiden, much like King Diamond and Mercyful Fate.

That's pretty much what i did (the fact that adrian smith is on a few of those albums really helps my cause)

I fucking love Varathron. The deep gaseous vocals with the slow melody that is directly derived from heavy metal and heavy rock makes me feel like I'm walking through a swamp.

Probably my favorite song:

The Single?

LOVECRAFT

DUNE
