Same actually. I don't dislike them, but I think they're massively overrated.

I got into their first album, but I think it's more doomy and less rock than the rest if I recall.

Cathedral are one of those bands I have mad respect for but never really got into. They were super awesome at MDF years ago, but I still don't really dig them that much.

They sound exactly like what they are; not very talented grindcore musicians trying to pay homage to the 70's and doom metal. I think the biggest problem I have with them is the vocal style.

I genuinely love the Hell out of Forest Of Equilibrium though.

Except, they weren't really solid doom metal for much of their post-debut material, more like a strange doped up hippie 90's rock band..... Thingy.
