Since I've been spinning this album a lot lately I'm also going to put it as some of my favorite cover art.

Edit: also what am I missing here. I've tried using the URL to post a picture with the "image" button and I've tried uploading media from my page. Neither seems to work

All you should have to do is copy the url, click on the picture icon next to the smiley face and the movie reel and paste the address in there if you want to hotlink images.

i never really figured out the uploading thing either, but the image button generally works for me.

that button sometimes isn't responsive for me. plus the thumbnail doesn't appear at the bottom unless i click more options.

You also have to have the file on your computer/device. If you don't want to store every picture you post hotlinking (although not always appreciated by some website owners) is the easiest way

Yeah I tried that picture icon. Seemed pretty straight forward but it didn't work. Must be something on my end or maybe it was just glitching at that time.

RYM encourages hyperlinking if you do it by clicking the art on an album page, then clicking the 'click here' part, where it will give you it in normal forum format, with a link to the website attached. Unfortunately it's slightly broken in that it lacks the 'http:' before '//e.snmc.io' so you have to type that in manually.

Looking at the code it looks like you tried to post an image from google is that right?
Actually looks like a google image from prog archives

I tried one before from imgur as well. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something. You're saying I need to have it downloaded to my PC? Dont know what a hotlink is. Every other forum I've been on would take an imgur or google image

No downloading if you hotlink.
All you should need is to do a google image search. Find the image you want view it so you get the exact address then copy and paste.
If you don't use (assuming PC) right click > view image to get the address you get an address the system can't handle.

If you want to download the imagine you need to use the "Upload file" button at the bottom of the post box and it uploads it onto the server the forum is on.

The first way just cuts out the saving on your system step

Okay, the link is still not working for some reason. I did exactly what you said. Got it with the "upload file". It's annoying having to save everything and upload, but oh well. At least something works.
