OK...there are some guitar solos that completely grab me by the spine and shake me when I hear them...how about we get a thread going where we all post our favorites...
In no particluar order:
1) Cliff Burton's bass solo after the middle break on "Orion" - Fucking AWESOME, and something I play every time I practice...
2) Dave Mustaine's solo on "Tornado of Souls". I don't think there is one note out of place from start to finish...
3) Dave Murray and Adrian Smith's solo trading during the breakdown on "Alexander the Great"...enough said...
4) Dave Mustaine's solo on "Bad Omen" (Or maybe it was Chris Poland's - not quite sure)...either way, very aggressive and fits the song perfectly.
5) Glen Tipton and KK Downing's solo trading on "Green Manalishi", especially the live version on "Unleashed in the East"...anytime I hear it I get pumped up to play...
So...let's see those posts!!!
