Favorite Instrumental Song

Opeth - Epilogue
Agalloch - The Hawthorne Passage
Enslaved - Norvegr
Arch Enemy - Snowbound
In Flames - Dreamscape
Metallica - The Call of Ktulu

anything by the chasm i think. also in flames (pre clayman) instrumentals are typically quite good too.

edit: also alchemist - the eve of war (its a cover, but it dominates)

someone know about this SOULSCAR BAND?
very good on my ears

They're from Canada. Not sure if they are signed or not, have to check metal-archives.com.

They have 3 Full Length CD's out. I think Endgame (2006) is their best. Their guitarist is extremely talented.

Edit: Signed to Galy Records.

Soulscar myspace doesn't do the band justice. Get on soulseek and look up Enter_My_Silence (I have all of their CD's)

Cynic - Textures
Metallica - Orion

:kickass:

In Flames - Dialogue with the Stars
Arcturus - Ad Astra and NIghtmare Heaven (they have a few random vocal noises but are essentially instrumental)
Apotheosis - Victory and Kingdom
Ephel Duath - Praha
Death - Voice of the Soul

My favourite instrumental of any genre would have to be Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

Strange one for a metal forum I know, but George Clinton basically locked Eddie Hazel in a room and told him to play like his mother just died. He came up with 10mins of the most haunting guitar ever
