Favorite kick drum mic?

yeah obviously not the most versatile mic but i could see it being great for some styles. are you talking from personal experience or just from the video in the link?

i already have a beta52 and a d6, might have to pick up an atm25 or e602/902 after watching that video.

Here's a E902 on a Gretsch 24" kick into a (real, vintage) Neve 1083 with a touch of low end added on the Neve. The mic was placed about 6" from the batter head, off center by 5-6". It's a bit basketball-y, but I feel that's down to the sound of the shell, the heads, and the tuning of the drum.
