Favorite Non-Metal guitar solos

Get a copy of "John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton from 1966 and fuckin' listen to the "electric" blues guitar playing on this thing. Steve Hackett refers to this as the "Bible of Electric blues guitar playing. When Jimi Hendrix first arrived in England he slept with the album. Think before you post.

1. Or the Paul Butterfield Blues Band S/T with Mike Bloomfield

2. Perhaps Hendrix worshipped that album or not but Clapton had this to say about Hendrix in Clapton's autobiography:

"What I found refreshing about him was his intensely self-critical attitude toward his music," Clapton writes. "He had this enormous gift and a fantastic technique, like that of someone who spent all day playing and practicing, yet he didn't seem that aware of it.

I like some American Hi-Fi solos.

And there was this one solo that was on Revelations by Audioslave that I really like. Don't remember what song.

YES! This showed in the Dick Cavit/Hendrix interview as well as songs like if 6 was 9 & Manic Depression. He was probably also aware and concerned about his various poor live performances, hes definantly been heard having off nights, frankly at times I wonder if it wasnt due to Noel Redings insanely hyper, nearly non stop drum solos during songs. They at times were like freeform rock, totally ungrounded.

The funniest thing was interviews regarding Townsend conversations with Clapton along the lines of "we are in trouble now" or not wanting to go on stage at Monterey after Hendrix lol. I was never a big fan of The Who anyhow, just certain songs I like.

I had at one time an Al Cooper/Mike Bloomfield album, live at one of the Filmores I believe, it had a few moments.
