i must also say that PT are great live. both their live albums are great. I've been listening to Coma Divine a lot lately. :) I like the solo on Dislocated Day a lotttt
Yes, great live, saw them in Glasgow late last year, the sound is exceptional, and the backdrop video during the performance is also worth a special mention. :)

Wow didn't realize they've put out so many albums. I've only heard the 3 most recent & prefer In Absentia.

a lot of people think the first one was crap. but you have to consider the fact that it was almost, if not all, done by steve wilson on a guitar and drum machine and probably a keyboard. whats his face wrote a few parts and lyrics, but i don't think he performed on that album. It actually has two of my many favourite PT songs, Radioactive Toy and Nine Cats. I'm pretty sure Steven wrote Radioactive Toy completely by himself. That song is great live.

The results of this sicken me. Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun are so much better than IA and Deadwing it's unbelievable.

Sorry to be an anorak, but in May 2001 'Recordings' was released
May 2001 (KScope/Snapper - SMACD840)
Tracks
Buying New Soul (10:24)
Access Denied (3:35)
Cure for Optimism (6:11)
Untitled (8:53)
Disappear (3:37)
Ambulance Chasing (6:32)
In Formaldehyde (5:19)
Even Less - full length version (13:55)
Oceans Have No Memory (3:06)

don't think it is still available though, the only one I havn'e got as yet:)

In Absentia, I guess. I'm not really a fan of their older, psychidelic material. I think it was a little too Floydish.

I don't get why IA is so much more popular than any of the last five albums. I can see people not liking the pre-Signify material that much. I actually think DW, LS, SD, and Signify are all better than IA. IA has more songs that I skip immediately than any other PT album. The attempts at metal (Wedding Nails) are not well executed. It seemed like DW was more content to have hard rock riffs. Those were all fine. The most metal they got were the Dream Theater type riffs on ASBNH.

Hurry up and release that DVD.

I just recon that this poll, as flawed as every poll, asks for favorite. That is not too say that the others are not liked nearly as much.
I like them all, but, depending on the wind direction, IA is my favorite just now. Judging by the comments there are a few who really tie as favorite.
