So I decided there's no real reason for me to have preamps for my triggers - got rid of my big allen and heath mixer but now I obviously need a way to get those XLRs into my interface - what's my cheapest option?

Get to it! :D

Can't you just use XLR-XLR?

well my setup is such that I have the drums(thus the triggers) in the other room and they run into my control room via snake... so I have 12 male XLR plugs in my control room, my interface only has 1/4" ins... so... yeah.

ps: Metaltasic - that's what I was thinking too, but its just about 8 bucks for the connectors for each converter, before shipping and before I have to build them, and GC has cables for $10.99... so it doesn't make much sense to go that route after all.

GC won't be using connectors and cables of the same quality. It really is worth it to just keep a few connectors and several meters of good cable on hand.

I give those cables a month before you have to start jiggling them around in the (poorly-shaped) connectors to keep the signal consistent - but if that's worth it to you to save a couple of bucks... :loco:
