Females in Metal Book

Thanks for all the great feedback and compliments. This has been a long time passion of mine to do a book on this topic so I appreciate all the support!
I just revealed another four lovely ladies that will be featured in the book on my blog. Have no fear if you don't see me mention someone you requested - I will be revealing a few ladies each week so there are MANY more to come!

To get updates on the book's progress & the list of women who have been interviewed so far, as well as news/reviews on women in metal, please LIKE the book's new facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/WomenInMetalBook

Research will be concluded by October 2012 by attending ProgPower USA and the Metal Female Voices Fest 10th anniversary (Belgium). I will finish writing the book over the winter, with a hopeful Spring 2013 publish date!

Thank you for your support!

Attention Metal Ladies: Do you have any awesome photos of yourself, or you with your girlfriends rocking out at a metal show, ProgPower, or being all \m/ metal?? I am looking for some photos for the "metal female fans around the world" section of the book. I am currently thinking up a small token of appreciation so you will get something for your submission if it is used. If you would like to submit a photo, please do so here by July 25th: http://progpowergrrl.com/?page_id=373

Thank you!

ATTN LADIES: Tomorrow (July 25th) is the last day to submit a photo of yourself or you with your girlfriends displaying your love for metal! Please DO NOT submit photos of yourself on stage if you are a musician. They will not be accepted. This is for the section of the book about the 'female metal fans around the world'. Thank you for your contributions! All eligible submissions will be in a drawing for a $25 VISA gift card!

Oh now you tell me ...

The submission form only said "rocking out at a metal concert or demonstrating your metal music spirit".
There was no mention that it mattered if the lady was on stage or not.

So youre telling me, if my wife takes out the microphone out of her hand, the photo would be accepted ?

Its your book. You can do what you want.

Thank you for bringing attention to a very worthy and neccessary segment of the metal world.
Best of luck with the book.

Sorry I did not clarify that up front. Jeremy, we are doing our own professional live concert photography for the book so we aren't asking for submissions from artists (unless we've reached out to them directly). However, we wanted to also represent the female "fans" in the community so that is what this contest was about - to get fans from around the world to submit photos of themselves for a few pages dedicated to them - the ones that support the music!
