Few question about my audio set up.

Hello guys I've few question (Probably Dumb) .
Here is my setup: guitare to boss gt10 (with pre amp off) to UA 25 with hi z input on and then lepou plus recabinet.

The thing is I can't get the sound I want. Here's my question :
1) Do I need a DI box between my boss gt10 and the audio card?
2) When I choose Line output for the gt10 its engage the speaker simulator, is there someone that arrive to disable the speaker cab?
3) To connect to my audio card should I choose: combo output, stack output or return\send output from the gt10?

1) Nope

Can't answer for 2 or 3 because I was using the Line Output without software sim. However, I used the S/R a lot with my amp and I believe it is what you need to use to bypass (at least to be sure) any form of cab sim.

What are you using the GT10 for, if the preamp is off? Why not just run straight into your interface?

1. No, you don't need a DI box.
2. In your amp parameters, SP TYPE controls the speaker simulator. Set it to "Off" <- page 99 of the manual.
3. The output shouldn't make much of a difference, other than maybe the signal level. If using Line and turning the speaker sim off doesn't work for some reason, try setting it to Stack Return.

What don't you like about the sound you're getting? VST amp sims can be tricky to get a good sound out of sometimes.

Thank you, in fact I'm using the gt10 as a sort of D.I box and for the effect like whawha etc...

FWIW I run the UA25EX model and I just go direct into the HI-Z. I have a whole bunch of amp sims including Pod Farm and I just draw in automation for any FX I want to modulate in my DAW.

As I seen my problem was already solve cause it's seems that disable the Pre-amp turn off the Speaker Simulator also^^


And just one thing do I need to Activate the Hiz button when I Plug My Gt10 into the soundcard?
