Film Samples in Songs

...
What about them?
Are you looking for more?
If so, Impetigo and Mortician. That outta kill any want you have for them.

segments from the original "wicker man" interspersed throughout agalloch's white album, and lines from ingmar bergman's "seventh seal" used in agalloch's "Hawthorne Passage."

Summoning's "A distant flame before the sun" uses a quote from braveheart

Askival's "Destiny" uses a line from "King Arthur."

I enjoy the use of all these except the summoning one. I've seen braveheart far too many times I can't disassociate the movie from the line "NOW BEHOLD THE AWFUL PRICE OF TREASON" when I hear that song lol.

Entombed's Clandestine makes really good use of samples from old movies. Listen to the geniously placed madman laughter at 03:15.

Death metal, grindcore, and black metal bands need to start taking more samples from Rob Zombie's directed movies!

ESPECIALLY "House Of a Thousand Corpses" and "Halloween"

Edit: WOOT! Post #1000 bitches

How does that work? Do they sample speech, because that would be nearly impossible to pull off with out being extremly nerdy. Or do they sample the music or something>

They sampled the clanking noises from the dwemer ruins in that game (which I sadly recognize due to it being one of my favorite games evar) in some little ambient section.

And I didn't know about that one Deadpost, guess they're real fans...
