It was great working with these guys. It was quite difficult to meet in the middle on the mixes sometimes. They wanted certain things, obviously I wanted certain things a different way, but I think when it came down to it, we nailed down a decent mix.

I really had to polish a turn with the songs, since we were very pressed on time, so yes, there is a TON of editing that I had to go through. Here's a tune from them that is mixed/mastered (as is, can't change it now)

listening now.... i'm missing some high end over here and the GTRS don't sag and swell enough for me if that makes sense. Sounds more like plastic bending than meat being slowly cleavered. =D

You're fucking good at editing, though!

Haha.. Sag and swell. Please explain!

I think it has a lot to do with the playing, which was pretty sloppy, unfortunately.. Once again due to time restraints (We did 5 songs within about 1.5 days). Thanks man!

wow those guitarplayers wanted their guitars LOUD right?
very guitar heavy mix...can berely hear the snare, but if that's what he band wants....it's just not a balanced mix unfortunatly...the sounds would be nice

You're right! That's one of the things they wanted.. Which is quite unfortunate because I absolutely LOVE the snare sample I'm using in this song.. You can hear it in the beginning, and there's just something about it that I fucking love.
