Hey guys. Here's a song I already uploaded some time ago on this forum, but which I've been working on for quite some time. I'm planning on releasing an EP soon, and I was wondering what you were thinking of my sound, especially concerning the vocals and how they fit (or don't fit) in the mix.

Everything sounds pretty good to me, although I might cut some low-mids from the guitar tone, they have that '57 whoofy sound.

Thanks man! Yeah that's what I've been told quite often, still I can't seem to find the right frequence to cut -__- Guitars always sound a little bit too boxy to my ears and I don't really know what to do about that.

hey dude, totally agree with the above poster with the guitars, have you checked out ERMZ's poking holes in high gain guitars thread? That might help you, all I can suggest is maybe looking at cutting a few dB between 250 - 800Hz, someone else could give a better idea of the actual frequencies you need to be listening to.

Yeah, as Firaxis said, I'd try making some cuts between 200-800hz, around there is typically the 'boxy' range for guitars.
