When I try to do finger tapping legato with string skipping it is hard to keep all the other strings from making noise. What can you do to or practice to help you play as cleanly as michael romeo??????

Practice slowly with a metronome and build it up to speed
. As you practice, make sure you are muting correctly (I use the palm of my right hand) and also
that no strings are ringing out.

Theres no special secret to it, just practice :)

Richie Kotzen explains that in his video very well. Mute the low strings (which means, the strings lower than the string you're currently playing on) with the palm of your right hand and move the palm along when going to the next string. Mute the higher strings with the flesh of your index finger to prevent them from ringing. That works great for long left hand legato runs as well as for MJR style string skipping/tapping arpeggios.
