Finally finished it today! Thought i'd share some pics!
Theres still a few things to do like the main light, mood lights, a couple of more panels possibly and some finishing touches. It looks a little like a
sauna haha but its sweet when you're in there.

I listened to some CD's today and WOW. I really recommened treating your room if it isn't when it comes to mixing...or just listening to music in general!
Has a really nice immersive ambience to it which should be great for being absorbed into the music when it comes to writing.

I can hear alot of detail I was missing before and can actually hear what my KRK's are pumping out. I listened to Michael Jackson (because the produciton is amazing)
and fuck I could hear a vertical depth which I hadn't heard before. Like the vocals coming from high up, the guitars low down and drums/everything else in the middle.
Spatial depth is alot clearer now also...like the room sounds/reverbs.

Its not perfect by a long shot as its only a small room but its a dam big improvement on what i'm used to.

I should have an SSL X Desk and Duende arriving tommorow to add to the rack :D Pretty lights! Will take some more pics of that when its all plugged in

Going to take a while to get used to a treated room! Its been invaded by 2001 Space Odyssey Obelisks!

Haha thanks dudes - its small, but should be ideal for what i need. Way better than an untreated living room!

lol erkan...It's half way there with the cliche lava lamp.....gotta put the nice shaggy rug in there next :p

BTW i think it cost me around £150....£200 max....to make all the panels (not including cost for some tools like staple gun, electric screw driver etc)

Thanks guys! :)

Haha i didn't even realise the cat was there when i was taking the photo. It was a bit of a "When you'll see it you'll shit bricks" when i put it on the computer.

Yeah i need to buy some Isopad things for both set of speakers really. But i'm a bit skint so it will have to wait. I use the KRKs more than the Maudio's so it'll have to do for now. Can you DIY isopads ? lol.

I made mine from Styrofoam. I don't know if that's an appropiate material, but it made a HUGE difference to separate them from the desk with a non dense material as polystyrene is.

That's awesome man, I'd personally consider getting some better monitors though. Do you still use the Pod, and if you do, for what things? And did you end up ordering a custom Roter or something BTW?

The KRK's are sweet - though I am curious how they compare to the Adam A7s which are the same price. What would you recommened?

Yeah still use the pod. Lately i've been quad tracking. 2 with the POD and 2 with the Axe fx. I use both the POD and Axe FX for cleans and lead sounds at the moment.

Are they RP5's?

Looks like a sweet room as well man, seriously jealous!
Getting some good vibes from it, it's all that nice wood :)
