Because of your Galactica-love I was trying to get into it the other day but couldn't make it past the pilot episode...unfortunately. I thought it was kinda stiff and lacked some humor. Now go ahead and burn me down
Ah, but you forget the underrated and underappreciated DS9, which also took me awhile to get into, but once I did, I quickly realized it was far and above the best of the bunch because of how serialized its stories were (a war that spanned two seasons, for example, let's see TNG ever have THAT much consistency!)
DS9 got a lot better the older it got, especially Sisko with a beard but back OT...
FireFly stood out against the other sci-fi shows, and in a good way. For that fact alone it's worth digging up, but personally I've just enjoyed everything else about it. Plus I have a thing for dancers, so Summer Glau was amazing.
loved the show, watched the whole lot in a few days on dvd so got really into it.
To be honest I was fairly let down by the movie, its clear from the dvd and commenterys/documentarys with it they had plans to do alot more with the story and I thought the film didn't really answer many questions. It was a bit of a cop out and killing off members was the easiest way out of ending their parts to the story.
I think if they could have had just 1 more season it would have been amazing, the story was only really beginning to develop when they found out they would be cut and had a few episodes left to tie it up. Its clear from the way the cast and josh wheldon talk about it that its one of the best things any of them have ever done
