Im currently running 2 firepods and the hardware is great accept they flash perodically causing the recording and everything to stop and its slow my production process down.. They never did this before on my old computer but now i use them on my rebuilt system.. Shit has more memory speed and everything.. I cant figureout why they do this . I have installed all the current software virus scans everything??
any one know what going on here im running out of gusses?? Thanks

What is your system now, and what were you using before?

My Firepod was rock-solid on Windows XP, then I tried it on my laptop on Vista, and later on my desktop when I upgraded to Windows 7, and it had horrible audio dropouts, so I sold it and got a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40.

I've honestly not heard of a single person who has successfully used the Firepod on Windows 7 without dropouts.

I have. I've used 2, had no dropouts unless I hit my firewire card (on my laptop) on accident.

My current issue is that one of my FP10's is having blue light syndrome. It's ALWAYS on, even though there is no signal coming out of it or even if I have it plugged into anything or not. From what I researched, it's an issue with the firewire on the unit. I work graveyard, so I havn't been able to get ahold of cutomer service to find out wtf is going on or whether I should send it in. (Sorry for the hijack, just sharing my issues with the units).
