Just re-amped some bits and bobs for my Onslaught cover with it.

Kept the cab right up against the wall  57 slightly off center, orange channel on the Dual rec and thats about it!

Since ive hardly played this thing I don't know which is my fav speaker nor have I broke the speakers in so ill no doubt have some better tones coming through as the days go on :)

HP @ 60hz
LP@ 12K
and a bit of C4 since I put in a tad too much bass on the head!

No other EQ besides that, totally raw. Its a bit fizzy for my tastes but im sure ill learn how to approach this cab better the more I play with it.

Your typical EQ'd version *Thought I might have taken off a bit too much bass *

For a raw tone, i really like it. Would be perfectly suited for thrash or modern hardcore stuff :p

This answers most of the questions but it sounds kinda fizzy in the room which is fairly strange but im pretty certain its because its never been played before so I think once ive dominated it for abit they will settle down, hence the fizzyness under the mic I guess. I did actually turn the treble on the recto down to compensate slightly.

As far as settings and mic placement goes *which is piss easy since I don't have to fuck around with a flashnight anymore \m/* it was the 57 aimed at the edge of the speaker crease or dustcap I guess you call it, perhaps 10% further in so the curve of the mic sits aligned with the curveature of the dust cap. Also sitting around 2" away from the grille. I find the tone sounds slightly more balanced when I bring the mic back somewhat. Settings were pretty much mids at about 10:30ish, gain at 1ish, pres at 12'clock, bass at 12'oclock and treble at about 11'oclock. Also orange channel on a 3 channel recto, silicon diodes and had the cab running in 16ohm's mode.

Its kinda hard to compare to the Framus....its cool coming back to the v30's though! The second I played a chord through this cab the low end was something else, ive never played a cab with that kinda bass responce. Its almost like a gated woof under every palm mute, just great. Off the bat id say it sounds much fatter than the Framus however it feels fatter than any cab ive played before!

Im really eager to get another speaker shootout going so I know the essence of each of them, of course with the help of you good people :) Ill get one sorted tommorow. With these clips I just took a hunch and went with bottom right. Might even turn out its the worst out of the 4 lol.
