Hey guys!

This sunday (9 june) I'm gonna record my first band ever. It's a blues band. Any tips? Any problems that are sure to arise this first time etc? Any help will be appreciated as I'm not that experienced in the studio at all. Thankfully two of my friends will be joining, both have similar experiences as me, so that's a relief.

But yeah. Any heads-up?

tip no.1: Anything that can be done in advance should be done before they enter the recording phase.
That means, compositions of the songs should be finished, clicktracks should be ready (if the song benefits form it) and everyone should definitely know what to play and play it well. If this is done, everything should run smooth...

tip no.2 new strings, new drumheads are a must for a good sound. Also tuning of the drums! Get help with that if needed, it will improve the sound by 100%. Also have the guitars and the bass setup properly to the string gauge, so that they can be in tune all over the fretboard!
