First clip in a while - Please comment!

Wow, that was pretty epic Hugo, nicely done  Diggin' the drum sounds/programming, though the guitars just reek of Pod IMO, especially on the palm mutes :( Agree on being dubious about the synth stuff, at least in the first riff (bringing them down in volume would help, cuz they're kinda out of nowhere when they come back in after dropping out), but in the second riff I think they work well (awesome sub-drop too :D) Oh yeah, and the kick is a bit low IMO

Digging the riffage. Not sure about the synth stuff, sounds slightly cheap.
Thanks, man! You mean the synths in the chorus or the strings all throughout the clip too?

Thanks, Marcus! Gonna work on it... I was fearing the kick being too low too... Synths going down too, it seems.

Kinda bummed about the guitars, tho... I worked A LOT not to make them too POD-ish... oh well, back to the drawing board it seems. :p

Alright, updated the clip!

Automated the strings to be lower on the first riff... also lowered them just a tad on the second riff, same as the lead synth. Also raised the kick up a bit.

I'm working on the guitars again, but I'm probably gonna start from scratch, so it might take a while.

What about the low-end on the whole track, BTW? You guys think it's a bit lacking too?

Muchas gracias! :D

Qué opinas de cómo están los graves de toda la track? Se me hace medio difícil tenerlos bien bien porque como no tengo así como bocinas profesionales ni nada, nadamás estoy mezclando en las bocinas de mi compu.

Hey man, the strings are perfect balance wise now between the two song sections, so good job on that  Also, the kick is at a good volume now, though I think it could use a semi-wide cut around 150 Hz, as it's a touch on the boomy side (the rest of the low-end is good IMO, though I can't really hear the bass too well; not like I feel it's too thin, just can't make it out); the guitars are good for a Pod tone, they fit well and all, they just have that dry characteristic that I know all too well from the bean; maybe try the Big Bottom model? (I'm guessing you're using the Diamondplate) Also, the snare could come up a bit, but yeah, great stuff again dude!

Thanks!

Yup, definitely DiamondPlate. Will try the Big Bottom... I was also thinking about using the condenser mic model rather than the 57 on axis to see if that sorted things out a little with the POD-iness.

Thanks! I actually did have a cut around that part on the kick... but I made it a bit less intense because I thought it wasn't filling the low-end enough, guess I overdid it.

About the bass, I guess I just kinda like it being in there filling the low-end. It might also be hard to make out what it's playing because it's really just playing along with the guitars in this part.

Will work a bit in the mix again and will post the results shortly.
