hello man
Im not wrong because i know what democracy means and i have read alot of books about politics
democracy comes from 2 words dimos and cratos, dimos is where the free civilians belong, and kratos is a term that means that has the right to decide for all the civilians.so in a few words we can say that kratos are the civilians.
in this case,no one asks the greek civilians so this has nothing to do with democracy.
In true democracy only the free civilians had the right to vote, not young people, slaves, and sometimes women, but there were different kind of democracy depended on the city-state,for example while this was happening in other city-states,in athens all the civilians voted.
if you see my previous posts you can clearly understand that we don't have a greek government, the guy is jew/american and wants "new world government" on his own words immediately so its impossible to let us do the "correct" democracy.
about the belgian news, thanks for letting me know i will tell this to everyone,i just saw all the big channels that i mentioned before who covers the whole world and said nothing but started immediately when the riots begun.
i don't thing that is a matter of yours or mine age,i highly suggest you to buy "politics" from aristotle to learn a lot of things if you are interested.
cheers
Dèmos meant people in general in Ancient Greek. I had 1 year of AG, so I know a little about etymology. But indeed, back then slaves etc. were not considered as 'the people'.
I don't mean to offend you with this, just to show I have some knowledge about it, I'm eager to understand this better.
In current democracy, there are to many people to let them all participate in the votings of laws etc. That's why representatives are chosen. The government is in fact the representative of the majority of the people. The flaw of this is that once they are chosen, they can do whatever they want during their elected time. That's what is now happening in your country, and should be considered as treason imo. They are just ignoring the peoples wishes, which is just wrong. I hope the situation betters there for you and your fellow Greeks.
And I will read Politics, but first I want some vacation time.
