Used Amplitube with overdrive pedal ( dist - 7. tone - 9. level - 9), tube lead head ( bass - 5. mid - 7. treb - 8. presence - 8. gain - 9)

Space designer for my IR from the Catharsis set

Ignore the drums and no editing etc just a clip to get some feedback. Just starting to use ampsim stuff

Yup sounds like amplitube. All tubby and no good high gain tones.

I've been trying to tweak this bitch for hours to get a good high gain but nothing seems to hit it I might try out Guitar Rig but im debating getting Pod Farm

Why not just spend a few hundred on a good tube amp? You can get a used 5150 for about $500

Amplitube - $100
Guitar Rig - $350
Pod Farm 2 - $300

Thats $750 you could have spent on a real amp.

FYI - We don't condone piracy around here. So I would suggest you take your software pirating hiney someplace its welcome (that's a disclaimer by the way ...lol)

I wasnt planning on going out and buying each of those, i planned on trying out guitar rig as a friend of mine owns it (legally) and if thats not suited to me then im going to buy pod farm.

I understand that pirating software isn't tolerated on this forum and i totally respect that. I have illegally download things but who hasnt! I'm an 19 year old student with no job

Seriously, just get PodFarm its the best for High Gain. Also check out NickCrowes 7170 and 8505 plugins. They blow away amplitube and are free

Dude I've been trying for a year the job situation is terrible over here right now!

And as far as the nick crow amps, I'm on mac :/ I tried wrapping them as AU last night using the KVR tutorial and the thread on getting Gclip for mac but not luck!

I can re-amp on my 5150 for dirt cheap since I am still working on the technique .... 12 pack of Caffrey's Irish Ale or a Carton of Marlboro Medium 100s will suffice

One more thing, I have a PODxt but i wanna get Pod Farm Platinum and upgrade to 2 yaddayaddayadda, this will cost me £84 but I cant use my PODxt asa dongle for it. Which means I'd be paying £200 for pod farm 2 platinum. Is it worth selling my xt and buying the hard copy of platinum and an ilok dongle?

No just buy the iLok its $40 american!

You can still use the XT as in interface for your DI signal so you dont have to buy an outboard interface for the time being.
