First time listening to Opeth

Well, today I finally got around to listening to Opeth and on top of that the album was Still Life. I like what I am hearing. I personally am a big fan of acoustic guitar in metal and those sections in The Moor, Benighted, et al were big treat.

Still Life is my personal favorite album by Opeth. I'd recommend Orchid, their debut, next.

I'd say check out Blackwater Park if you like the specific sound of the accoustics in Still Life. Damnation is a million times more accoustic, but it doesn't have that folk sound of Still Life and Blackwater Park. I'd reconmend downloading either Bleak, Leper Affinity, Drapery Falls, or Harvest to see what Blackwater Park is like. I highly suggest to buy the cd over any others if you liked Still Life.

my arms your hearse has the best interplay between acoustic/undistorted and heavy guitar, but the least amount of acoustic overall.

yeah.. damnation's acoustics don't sound anything like the acoustics on still life.. listen to their other albums for stuff like that..
