Follow the Reaper

Alexi likes Hate Me! (which I've bored of and it doesn't work live)

I agree with you :), maybe they should have stopped playing it long ago, it just doesn't rock anymore with the new vocals :Smug:. Of course its a great song and i listen a lot to it. But it doesn't work live anymore, or at least not like it did in Seoul :p

alexi is a lazy fuck and he dislikes the follow the reaper album because hes fucked around so much live that he cant those songs anymore, because i gaurantee that if there was an interview with him from 2001 he would say that playing kissing the shadows live is so fullfilling

Well, he prefers the more rock oriented sound from Hate Crew Deathroll and Are You Dead Yet as opposed to the more classically oriented sound from Follow The Reaper. "Too many people are still trying to be Yngwie. I want less classical and more rock!", those were Alexi's exact words in Guitar Player, May 2006

^true. This is just a theory, but i think he made albums like SW, HB, and FTR becuz that's how he felt at the moment....ya know, sad, depressed and all that shit which led him to play stuff coming from his heart and made it really deep. And at the same time, he might have been influenced by differnt stuff. Maybe his mind was completely warped. After he got over all that, he started thinking more cleary and found Bodom's "true" sound. Maybe that's how they would have actually sounded if he hadn't been so fucked up. AYDY is an excellent album. HCDR's production was better and the songs were more complicated, but AYDY was more catchier. I thought that one was better than HCDR. Most of the songs on HCDR had the same atmosphere and every song was kind of going into each other like a never ending story.

I thought about it for a long time and i think hatecrew deathroll is far better than aydy,i really hope the next album kicks ass, because it can go either way'

I know the next album will kickass becuz it will be the combination of both albums. It'll have HCDR's sound with AYDY's catchiness. Afterall, Alexi said he doesn't like the guitar's sound on AYDY so he might go back to making the guitar sound more prominent and heavy.

Very true man. Alcohol and drugs busted Alexi's ass bigtime... FTR is still my favourite :)

As is mine, does anyone know what drugs alexi has done?,because i'm pretty sure needled 24/7 is a reference to heroine but that doesnt nessesarily mean hes done heroine,i hate drugs personnally and i think that if you allow drugs to alter your musical ambition then your a pretty weak willed person

Someone told me they went backstage and saw him snorting some. Still, they could be lying, though I find it believable that he would do this. The heroin thing is also entirely possible.

What a dumb I am.... I made a mess and deleted my post, sorry.
Thanks 4 your explanation... and I still hope that who told you that thing was too sleepy to have seen bad... hope never dies, does it?

hey, i read in an interview that Alexi's least favourite album is FTR, and the weakest points of the album are Hate me, ETID, BAF, FTR and KTS!!

he also said that he hates KTS's fuckin chorus, cos its gay :erk:.

I think its CoB best album by far! and KTS is one of my fav songs!

what do u think about it??

not true alexis least favorite album is something wild coz the songs are not made well there just a bunch of riffs together

Am I the only one who thinks that Something Wild's songs are not just a bunch of riffs?

God, I perceive a linking line among one riff and another one, I don't find stuff with no sense, there.... I feel a lot of human istinctivity, which is good cause that way I feel that music close to me.

I really don't understand... for me they're so great songs...

I find them quite wonderful, but there are points in the album when it sounds a little bit pasted together. For the most part, however, it's a great collection of classic CoB material.

I don't know, maybe you're right but... in the end I like that album that way it is... for me it couldn't have been better.

My fav song from Something Wild is "In the shadows", along with "Lake Bodom".

Well, I like a lot Follow The Reaper album, but Something Wild fights against it to gain the second position in my list about fav CoB albums put in order.
