It's not french, the dots mean something in swedish. I'm finnish, so I have studied swedish for four years only, so I'm afraid I can't translate it.

I should've known that. I studied french a bit last year. Well, you can't remember everything.

Cool, I didn't know that the phonological change actually changed the semantic one!!! At least in French, I was quite shocked actually when I read that because I think that was never taught to me when I studied French. Otr I probably just don't remeber .

And with Swedish I was a bit surprised too, not as much as with French, but the thing id that I though that the phonological change only changed that, the sound, and with all languages!

The "la" is wrong, in some way, probably the char "å" converted in some way.
The first line is "På vida fältet" meaning something like "at the vast field"
