...to a new band section, I just wanted to introduce this new prog-metal effort a bit.

First of all, the lineup :headbang:

band01.jpg

Martin LeMar - Vocals (Tomorrow's Eve)
Vivien Lalu - Keys (Hubi meisel)
Joop Wolters - Guits (ex-Arabesque)
Russell Bergquist - Bass (ex-Annihilator)
Ryan Van Poederooyen - Drums (The Devin Townsend Band)

An MP3 being better than a long talk, you can trow an ear to this :

The name of this track is "YESTERDAYMAN". It was the "free" sampler available for download.

There are also other samples you can listen to:

So that's all I can do to introduce LALU because I believe the music is a matter of taste, your ears will tell you what to think (better than our words would do)

However, thanks for reading so far and spending time on such a smelly topic! :yuk:

Hey Viv,

Has LeMar record any albums with Tomorrow's Eve yet? I know they had different singers on their first two discs, right?

Thanks!

Noppe my friend :)

He only recorded "demos" with them, they are trying to find a label (for the new album) if I understood well...

You're welcome!!!

Oniric Metal should take an award for its production i think. It is one of the very good productions i've heard. Each instrument sounds great. Awesome.

Thanks a lot Iced Dog :)

You're too kind....well before I checked these forums I was preparing a Shadrane track (for Göran Edman to record). The master has to be sent in 3 months, so I guess "somewhere in the second half of 2006" would be the answer ;)

Thanks again for your awesome comments.

Oniric Metal is an excellent album...also dig your work with Hubi Meisel, especially Kailash...outstanding. Do you have an approximation when Shadrane will see the light of day?

Viv, I gotta ask...what was your inspiration behind Pot Boy? At first when I heard the beginning section with the goofy skit, I didn't know what to expect (read: WTF? ;)), but it turns into quite the fine epic track :)

I always think it is a "critter" (like in the old movie, you know) talking in that song :) It sounds very similar, but they can't talk that good in the movies, and i don't think they can command a ship, so never mind what i think :)

LOL turke

Nah...

Well Iced Dog it was just a stupid story about some stupid alien searching some stupid weed on earth :Smokin:

Anyway the opening dialogue between Devin (the hero/alien) and Infinity (the ship's computer) tells it all:

"Hello Devin, did you have a good sleep man?
- Yes Infinity! Wassup?
- Oh, everything's fine, but weed level is getting low
- Getting low? How's that possible?
- You smoke too much pot yesterday, sucker!
- Oh, guess we have to find some more. Any idea infinity?
- Nearest planet featuring weed is planet Earth
- Ok, let's get there, FULL SPEED!
- Don't know if we can make it to Earth - weed level too low
- Hey! I said "get there"!
- As you wish my lord, your words are orders
- Stop it Infinity! Now I'm gonna get into weedogenic sleep, but before... Shall I make one? It's gonna be a good one!"

There are many good actors acting in this song (their names are included in the lyrics)... Christopher Floyd, Gary Youngman, Charles Danz, Westley Stripes and Alan Fickman
