there's always been something that's bugged me about forest of october, what the hell is that weird noise around 13 seconds into the song? in my opnion it ruins the intro, whatever the hell it is.

I know what you're talking about. I only noticed it on headphones though, but it does get annoying. Almost every Opeth album seems to have something odd like that, like they had some defective cords in the studio in the mixing stages or something...

At one time I was extremely picky about these, but nevermind, in the end nothing can spoil those wonderful pieces of music

Still Life has the same problems on one (or more) songs, and yea, for me it is only bothering when using headphones. My question is, are these noises on the reissues as well?
