I am trying to dumb down my 32-bit wav files so that they can be imported into ProTools, but I don't know if it is working right...
One way I saved it, it says "24-bit Packed Int (type 1(24-bit))", 44,100 Hz, 32-bit, Mono
And the other version says IEEE Float (0.24 float type 3) 44,100 Hz, 32-bit, Mono
So even if I convert the sample type to 24-bit, it still pretty much lists as 32-bit. How do I know if it has worked as a 24-bit wav? I don't have Protools myself, so is there a way to find out? And should I be saving it as a Windows PCM or ACPCM?
