hey guys,
just made my first impulse response of a cab. It's a copy of a Mesa Boogie Thiele 1x12" cab equipped with one Celestion G12t75 16ohm speaker. It's obviously not finished yet
To make it even more unique, I used a vintage mic: a Uher m534 from 1973 (here's the manual).
So the whole chain was: Cubase -> RME Multiface -> FX loop return of a Marshall JTM-60 (Groove Tubes EL34) -> thiele cab -> Uher mic -> Summit Audio 2ba-221
Here's the link to the impulse file.
and here's an example "mix" where I used the IR on the rhythm guitars: Anodyne Sea
TSE 808 -> Amplification Creme -> Sir
the files belong to shredder10. Be sure to check out his thread with his awesome As I Lay Dying cover!
What do you guys think? Feel free to use it where ever you want, just leave a comment.
cheers, Stefan
